除夕前，妈妈为了增添家里的新春气氛，让我和她一起写春联，比一比谁写得好。我和妈妈准备好了毛笔、墨汁和对联纸，将桌面收拾好，就开始动笔了。
我们写的对联内容很吉祥，上联是“瑞绕重门增百福”，下联是“春回大地集千祥”，横批是“瑞气盈门”。为了做示范，妈妈先写。“我好长时间没练习书法了，现在写起来都有点生疏了呢！”妈妈边写边说，“写书法可真是个体力活！”不过，一会儿之后，她还是把整副对联写完了。虽然妈妈说没有她以前写得好，但是，我觉得也很不错呢！

小时候，每年过年，大人忙着蒸馒头、榨肉，我和二哥的任务就是写对联。那时候二哥上初中，我上小学五年级。
年除夕的前一天，写对联的工作就正式拉开帷幕。先把对联纸裁好，摆好桌子，准备好毛笔和墨汁，我们两兄弟一人坐一边，就开始边构思边写。主笔当然是二哥，我的职责也就是帮着按按纸、参谋参谋，二哥心情好的时候也会让我写几张横批。
一般大人写对联都是学着农家历上的春联照搬照抄，二哥在初中学了几首古诗和毛主席诗词，自以为学问很大，认为那些现成的春联都是陈词滥调，总想别出心裁搞创新。但编对联是很考验文学功底的事情，他绞尽脑汁也没编出一副像样的，就把课文里学的诗词当对联写，象什么“水光潋滟晴方好，山色空濛雨亦奇”、“红军不怕远征难，万水千山只等闲”之类的。
最后剩下猪圈门上的对联，他决心无论花多少时间，都要构思一副自己的原创作品。可是，一直构思到晚上11点，还是没有眉目。一般猪圈门上都是写：“春出千车粪，秋收万石粮”、“六畜兴旺”之类的，还没见哪一家写出不一样的对联，当然一般人也没有那个闲情逸致，不会在这上面花功夫。
农村人睡觉早，到11点大人们已经睡了一觉，母亲起夜的时候发现我们还没睡觉，就过来视察，问：“怎么写个对联费这些事？”二哥摆摆手说：“您别管，别打扰我，我正在构思。”母亲就回去睡觉了。

“对联就是图个吉利，谁管合理不合理？以前还写‘人有多大胆，地有多大产’呢，不是也不合理吗？”
“好吧，时间关系，就这么定了。”
第二天，趁着中午天气暖和，我和二哥把对联贴好。这时我站在院子里，举目四望，在冬日暖阳照耀下，火红的对联映入眼帘，彩色的落门前儿随风摇曳，过年的感觉便油然而生了。
父亲照例走出来，挨个门口检查。猪圈门上的对联，引起了父亲的关注，他嘴唇蠕动着默念对联，念完后却没有提出不同意见。我估计，他可能没来得及仔细算账。

等看到影壁墙上的横批，父亲很有把握的提出了反对意见：“‘突飞猛进’，太不吉利！土匪，来一个就够你受的，你还让他‘猛进’。你们没有经历过，土匪可不是好东西，那真是无恶不作。”
母亲蒸好一锅馒头，刚走出厨房就听到了父亲的话，也急急忙忙的赶过来发表意见：“这两个孩子怎么这么不听话！大过年的，写什么土匪？”
我知道母亲不识字，怕她误会太深，急忙解释：“不是真的土匪！”
“假土匪也不行！”母亲斩钉截铁的说。
二哥说重新写太麻烦，于是父亲提出了折中方案：“多贴点落门前儿，把这个横批盖住，别让人看到就行了。”
于是，所有对联顺利通过验收，写对联的工作终于宣告竣工。
这时，街上传来零星的鞭炮声，一群孩子嬉笑着从我家门前跑过。我匆匆忙忙抓了一把鞭炮，装进口袋，就一蹦两跳的加入了他们的队伍……。
