in fact, environmental pollution is a very serious problem the whole world is facing.
it is mainly caused by the waste products released from artificial substances, industrial production and increased consumption of goods. bedsides, the use of chemical substances in agriculture also causes environmental pollution. look at the sky, you can see that dense smoke is being released from the high and big chimneys; those dirty and poisonous substances are flowing into the rivers that we use for drinking water and millions of tons of waste products are heaping around us.how to change this conditionmore and more countries are trying to work out some effective means to bring it under control, but no great success has been made.

我们西花园那条河，更是令人心痛，那条小河以前清澈见底，鱼儿成群结队地在河中自由自在的游着，人们在小河旁谈笑风生，孩子们都在河边快乐的嬉戏，拿着钓鱼竿在河中钓鱼，快乐的玩耍着，这条河简直就是儿童的乐园，以前那里还有一个喷水池，一个小孩拿着一条鱼，从鱼嘴里喷出清澈的水。而现在，小河中臭气难闻，令人不敢接近，河面上漂浮着包装袋和塑料袋，河中的水由原来清澈见底变为了黑色的油漆，水又沾手又臭，人们已经厌恶了它。根本原因是什么呢？因为人们把用过的水排放到了河里，积少成多，小河越来越臭，同时，垃圾和包装纸也被人们扔进了里面，天长日久，小河就成了这种令人怜惜的样子。

therefore, we should realize the importance of taking care of our forests. we should do our best to protect our living environment and keep our mountains green,the water clean, and the sky blue.
