三四年级英语演讲稿篇2

good morning, dear teachers and fellow students. itsquo;s my great honor to stand here and share a happy morning with you. i am no. _____ . today my topic is so much to learn.

hello! my dear friends !do you like reading books? i guess all of you will say yes. am i right? thanks to books, we have got a lot of knowledge. on the other hand, tv is another way of getting knowledge. i still remember: last year, i watched an exciting speech on tv. it was given by american president obama, i could feel his great charm. i admire him. yeah, at that time i made a decision: i try to learn english well and some day i can have a talk with him. however, itsquo;s a pity that my english is not so perfect. what can i do? how can i do it? ah, so much to learn. donsquo; t lose heart! just do it! i say to myself aloud. if you set up your mind to learn it, you will get much knowledge. i am sure you will achieve your goal.

ok! so much knowledge for us to learn. we should do our best to learn it. we must try our best to learn it as much as possible. because knowledge can make us be learned and wise; because knowledge can make our country develop very fast; because knowledge can make our world be in harmony. ok! letsquo;s keep trying!

as you know, now i am a junior high school student. my school life is very wonderful and there are so many interesting subjects for us to learn, such as chinese, english, maths, history, and so on. ok, let me tell you something about my school life. i hope you will enjoy it. in my chinese lesson, i can recite the old wise sayings: isnsquo;t it a pleasure that friends come to see you from far away? what you know, you know; what you donsquo;t know, you donsquo;t know. these words are so educational. meanwhile, i like english very much. in my english class, i try to practice my oral english. ok, i have a dream that some day i can travel around the world and make many foreign friends. all right! history lessons bring us much enjoyment, and i can have a talk with the great people in history, such as conficius, qinshihuang, dr.sun yat-sen, and so on.

at last, i would like to say, we shouldnsquo;t waste time, life is limited while knowledge is boundless. aha, there is so much to learn. maybe you like reading; maybe you like singing;… maybe you have a lot of other hobbies, it doesnsquo;t matter, if you like it, just learn it. just do it. donsquo;t hesitate. knowledge is power. there is no choice but to learn. whatsquo;s more, you are never too old to learn. am i right? my friends, open your eyes, can you see the flame of knowledge burning forever? yeah, i can see it. i can see it clearly. come on, boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen. letsquo;s swim in the ocean of knowledge; letsquo;s climb on the top of knowledge. at that time, you will be a learned person with much knowledge. you will be the happiest person in the world.

dear friends:

if you can dream it, you can do it.——walt disney

it was a long four years. even after i had actually graduated, the nightmares began to haunt me, the university would call to say i hadn’t truly graduated. there had been a mistake and there was just one more class i needed to take. i was always so relieved to wake up and realize that it had only been a bad dream. in reality, i had completed every course needed for my degree, and i was a full-fledged college graduate!

now, the rest of my life loomed ahead of me. sometimes a bachelor’s degree prepares you for a specific occupation——you train to be an accountant, you graduate and get a position in an accounting firm. often, however, your stint in college only prepares you to make further decisions regarding your future. you’re pretty sure what you don’t want to do!

during my senior year of college, i had toyed with the idea of changing my major. at that point, i had finally discovered what captured my heart. but, wanting to finally be finishing school was a stronger pull. so, i took a few courses in physiology and exercise science, but not enough to receive a degree in physical therapy. that would require advanced schooling, beyond my bachelor’s degree——and i just wasn’tready to tackle that. having completed my b.c. degree, i didn’t have any intentions of furthering my education.

so, i did the safe thing and got an office job——the very thing i was sure that i didn’t want to do! i detested the office policies, the suits i had to wear and the downtown environment that i had to drive to every day. i knew this was not where i belonged.

but god knew what path my career was to follow. a position opened up at the most exclusive health club in our city, so i applied. this was my kind of environment——an active, vibrant kind of place——completely at the opposite end of the spectrum from the office environment where i found myself. the position required that i work saturday nights and sunday mornings. perfect, i thought! i could keep my office job monday through friday and work at my dream job on the weekends. this arrangement lasted several months until, eventually, a full-time position opened up and i was able to resign from my office job.

over the next few years, i worked my way up the leader, gaining experience in several different departments. i found my niche as the director of member services——catering to our clientele and providing them with numerous cutting-edge programs. i would have stayed at that job forever——it seemed to be the pinnacle of all my dreams fulfilled. here were fellow employees who had a passion for the same things that i did——health and fitness. yet again, god had other plans for my life.within two years, a newer, bigger, better and more state-of-the-art health club facility was built——just five miles down the road. and, in turn, the owner lost many members to that club. and, in turn, the owner lost thousands of dollars. one by one we were each laid off.

after trying unsuccessfully to land another similar position elsewhere, i knew what i had to do. go back to school!thanks!

thank you. thank you, president chen, chairmen ren, vice president chi, vice minister wei. we are delighted to be here today with a very large american delegation, including the first lady and our daughter, who is a student at stanford, one of the schools with which beijing university has a relationship. we have six members of the united states congress; the secretary of state; secretary of commerce; the secretary of agriculture; the chairman of our council of economic advisors; senator sasser, our ambassador; the national security advisor and my chief of staff, among others. i say that to illustrate the importance that the united states places on our relationship with china.

i would like to begin by congratulating all of you, the students, the faculty, the administrators, on celebrating the centennial year of your university. gongxi, beida. (applause.)

as i'm sure all of you know, this campus was once home to yenching university which was founded by american missionaries. many of its wonderful buildings were designed by an american architect. thousands of americans students and professors have come here to study and teach. we feel a special kinship with you.

i am, however, grateful that this day is different in one important respect from another important occasion 79 years ago. in june of 1919, the first president of yenching university, john leighton stuart, was set to deliver the very first commencement address on these very grounds. at the appointed hour, he appeared, but no students appeared. they were all out leading the may 4th movement for china's political and cultural renewal. when i read this, i hoped that when i walked into the auditorium today, someone would be sitting here. and i thank you for being here, very much. (applause.)

over the last 100 years, this university has grown to more than 20,000 students. your graduates are spread throughout china and around the world. you have built the largest university library in all of asia. last year, 20 percent of your graduates went abroad to study, including half of your math and science majors. and in this anniversary year, more than a million people in china, asia, and beyond have logged on to your web site. at the dawn of a new century, this university is leading china into the future.

i come here today to talk to you, the next generation of china's leaders, about the critical importance to your future of building a strong partnership between china and the united states.

the american people deeply admire china for its thousands of years of contributions to culture and religion, to philosophy and the arts, to science and technology. we remember well our strong partnership in world war ii. now we see china at a moment in history when your glorious past is matched by your present sweeping transformation and the even greater promise of your future.

just three decades ago, china was virtually shut off from the world. now, china is a member of more than 1,000 international organizations -- enterprises that affect everything from air travel to agricultural development. you have opened your nation to trade and investment on a large scale. today, 40,000 young chinese study in the united states, with hundreds of thousands more learning in asia, africa, europe, and latin america.

dear teachers and classmates:

good afternoon, i am very nice to make a speech here! this time, i'd like to talk something about english.

as everyone knows. english language is very important today. it is now used everywhere in the world.

i love english. when i was eight, my mother sent me to an english school. at there, i played games and sang english songs with other children . i also often read english following the tapes and watch english cartoons at home. by talking with english people, i have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral english. then i discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the english world. it makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

i hope i can travel around the world someday and introduce china to them in english, such as the great wall, the forbidden city and so on. of course, i want to go to london , because england is where english language developed.

i know, rome was not built in a day. i believe that after continuous hard study, one day i can speak english very well.

if you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. so i believe as i love english everyday , it will love me too.

the christmas story also draws attention to all those people who are on the edge of society - people who feel cut off and disadvantaged; people who, for one reason or another, are not able to enjoy the full benefits of living in a civilised and law-abiding community. for these people the modern world can seem a distant and hostile place.

it is all too easy to 'turn a blind eye', 'to pass by on the other side', and leave it to e_perts and professionals. all the great religious teachings of the world press home the message that everyone has a responsibility to care for the vulnerable. fortunately, there are many groups and individuals, often unsung and unrewarded, who are dedicated to ensuring that the 'outsiders' are given a chance to be recognised and respected. however, each one of us can also help by offering a little time, a talent or a possession, and taking a share in the responsibility for the well-being of those who feel e_cluded.

and also today i want to draw attention to another group of people who deserve our thoughts this christmas. we have all been conscious of those who have given their lives, or who have been severely wounded, while serving with the armed forces in iraq and afghanistan. the dedication of the national armed forces memorial was also an occasion to remember those who have suffered while serving in these and every other place of unrest since the end of the second world war.

for their families, christmas will bring back sad memories, and i pray that all of you, who are missing those who are dear to you, will find strength and comfort in your families and friends.

a familiar introduction to an annual christmas carol service contains the words: 'because this would most rejoice his heart, let us remember, in his name, the poor and the helpless, the cold, the hungry, and the oppressed; the sick and those who mourn, the lonely and the unloved.'

wherever these words find you, and in whatever circumstances, i want to wish you all a blessed christmas.add te_t here.

三四年级英语演讲稿篇8

good afternoon!

recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? will we be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?

the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. but the cynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. we help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynics are wrong. we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. i believe in all my fellow classmates. though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. we are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. i believe in our future.
